Evening Classes in Meditation
Mindfulness Meditation for Beginners, 6 week evening class starting on Thurs 9 Nov 2017.
Insight for Wellbeing offers regular evening classes in meditation, ranging from taster classes for beginners to structured courses for all levels of experience. All sessions are guided by Zeenat and include time for sharing and discussion as well as practice and teaching. The classes include basic instruction in mindfulness practice, also known as insight meditation or vipassana, so that you can learn how to meditate and establish a regular practice. The classes also offer opportunities to deepen your practice and to explore other techniques, such as visualisation from the Tantra yoga tradition, or loving kindness meditation.
Courses are held in our purpose-built meditation house, in Chapel Allerton, Leeds, West Yorkshire, only three miles from Leeds city centre and easily accessible by bus or car.

Meditation for Beginners
This structured eight week evening class for beginners will teach you how to meditate and support you as you establish a regular practice. The main focus is on mindfulness meditation, and there are also two sessions on loving-kindness meditation and cultivating positive emotion, practices which complement mindfulness. The course runs three or four times a year over winter, spring and autumn. The next class starts on Tuesday 16 January 2018.
Mindfulness Meditation for Beginners
On this slightly shorter evening class, usually scheduled in the autumn or in late spring/early summer, we focus on mindfulness meditation. The next class starts on Thursday 9 November 2017.
Intermediate Evening Class in Meditation
This eight week long evening class is suitable if you've already attended either of the beginners evening classes or a similar course elsewhere, or have been practising for a while and are looking to go deeper. The emphasis will be on consolidating and refining your meditation practice. This course is currently running once a year and will next commence on Monday 22 January 2018.
Zeenat runs taster evenings in mindfulness and meditation for those who might want to give it a try before booking on a course. These are once a month throughout the year.
