Introduction to Mindfulness
. Sat 3 March 2012. This day long class is suitable for beginners learning to meditate, and also for those who've meditated before but want to learn more about mindfulness.

Drop-in evening, alternate Wednesdays in Chapel Allerton, Leeds. This evening class is a great way to meditate for the first time, or to get support with your regular practice in an informal and friendly group. Beginners and more experienced meditators are welcome.

All of our courses and classes are taught by
Zeenat Cameron, a meditation teacher and personal development facilitator with a background in clinical psychology. In her teaching Zeenat draws on her many years of experience in the Buddhist, Yoga and Tantra traditions, as well as her training and experience in Western non-faith approaches.

To benefit from these courses you do not need to follow any particular spiritual path. All you need is a curiosity to discover your inner self. Meditation brings true wellbeing, that stable state of inner harmony which arises when we gain insight, or literally 'see into', the truth of who we are.  To meditate regularly has been shown to bring many benefits, including:
  • optimum health, vitality and energy
  • love and appreciation for your self and who you truly are
  • harmony and bliss in your relationships
  • effectiveness and creativity in your working life
  • knowing how to emotionally balance and centre your self in challenging situations
  • success, abundance and contentment in your day-to-day life
These changes come about when we understand our body, mind and emotions; and learn to use our new knowledge and insight to transform old, unhelpful habits into positive forces for growth.
